The American Building Materials Alliance has picked longtime Washington lobbyist Pat Rita to be its Government Affairs Associate, Kirk Ives to be its Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Director, and Julianna Rauf to be its Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Coordinator. The alliance was formed earlier this year as a federal advocacy group following the decision by two regional lumber associations--the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association and the Construction Suppliers Association--to end their ties with the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association.
